Book review of Circe by Madeline Miller

This month, we’re meeting at the Alte Kaserne Cultural Centre to discuss the book we’ve just been reading together in the Hexenzirkel. We’d love to hear what annoyed, surprised or saddened you about the book.

Carving brooms

The long-awaited Walpurgis Night is just around the corner. To get ready, we’re meeting up to plan the festivities. We’ll also be bringing all our brooms along to give them a good polish in preparation for the most important night of the year.

Medieval Market

Together, we’ll be mingling with the motley crowd at the Medieval Festival in Uster, which features a large market and a programme of entertainment. Our mission here is to find other covens that would like to join forces for Walpurgis Night.

We’ll meet at the venue at the start, right by the entrance.

Walpurgis bonfire and Walpurgis Night

On Walpurgis Night, things really get going. On this evening, we fully embrace our witchy selves. We’ll meet up a little earlier to set up and light our own bonfire in a secluded spot in the woods, around which we’ll then dance and scream until the early hours of the morning.
Every witch must bring her own broom!

If you’d like to help with the preparations the day before, please get in touch with us by email.
