Frequently asked questions
What is WintiWitches?
We are a book club and a community space for FLINTA individuals who are passionate about witchcraft. We read and discuss books together, brew potions, and visit medieval events as a group. We also host private gatherings exclusively for our members.
How do I become a member?
You can sign up for our knowledge test directly through our website. After registering, we will check together whether you are familiar with the basic principles of witchcraft. Once this step is completed, we will plan a small ritual with you that fits your personality.
Do I need prior knowledge of witchcraft or herbalism?
You don’t need advanced expertise, but a basic interest in witchcraft, ethics, rituals, or herbs is important. For the knowledge test, we expect foundational understanding in these areas. You can find more information under Become a Member.
What books do we read in the club?
We choose a mix of non‑fiction and novels. You can find the current reading list in the Reading Schedule section.
How do the potion meetings work?
We meet in small groups, discuss herbs and their effects, and prepare simple potions together. Some recipes can be found on our website.
Do you publish book reviews?
Yes. We regularly publish reviews of books that we read or recommend in the club. Every other month, we meet for a book discussion to exchange views.
How are the books selected?
For 2026, the head witches selected six books themselves. Starting next year, we want to involve our members in the selection process. Members will be able to suggest titles and vote on them.
